Mom plans meals for an entire year.

Leslie Chisolm down in the deep heart of Texas (clap clap) is got her mind on freeing up her time in the kitchen.  She’s planned a year’s worth of meals for her family of six. I don’t know about you, but I hardly can get disciplined enough to plan out my weekly/bi-weekly grocery list. But the idea is intriguing. Chisolm doesn’t say if she’ll be keeping a blog to keep the public updated on her progress, but I hope she eventually does because it would be interesting to see what she learns from this time-saving attempt.

Texas Mom Plans Meals (Video)

In past attempts to create meal plans or grocery lists, I’ve only found one website with a planner that is actually well-thought out and kinda fun.  On Just Bento, a blog about creating, eating, and all things bento (Japanese for lunch box)  Maki created a meal planner to be used in conjunction for creating balanced bento boxes. (Yes there is an actually a science behind making them.)

I guess in this new era of being broke as a way of life, trying new things to make 15 cents into $10 can’t hurt.

  1. “this new era of being broke as a way of life”

I’m retired, and I live on a “fixed income” — but that’s better than living on a broken income.

Nevertheless, careful planning is good for everybody.
