Leslie Chisolm down in the deep heart of Texas (clap clap) is got her mind on freeing up her time in the kitchen. She’s planned a year’s worth of meals for her family of six. I don’t know about you, but I hardly can get disciplined enough to plan out my weekly/bi-weekly grocery list. But the idea is intriguing. Chisolm doesn’t say if she’ll be keeping a blog to keep the public updated on her progress, but I hope she eventually does because it would be interesting to see what she learns from this time-saving attempt.
In past attempts to create meal plans or grocery lists, I’ve only found one website with a planner that is actually well-thought out and kinda fun. On Just Bento, a blog about creating, eating, and all things bento (Japanese for lunch box) Maki created a meal planner to be used in conjunction for creating balanced bento boxes. (Yes there is an actually a science behind making them.)
I guess in this new era of being broke as a way of life, trying new things to make 15 cents into $10 can’t hurt.
